This beautifully picturesque village lies on the east banks of the Exe Estuary. With the train line and cycle path to Exeter which make it accessible for commuting and for leisure, as both also lead down to the sandy beaches of Exmouth.

This popular village boasts some 150 clubs and societies, 4 pubs, primary school, shop with post office, Doctors surgery, churches, village hall, café, hair dressers and more recently Michael Caines’ newest venture Lympstone Manor.

There is something for everyone. In some respects, living in Lympstone is like going back to the 1950’s with fine community spirit, it’s just mixed with 21st Century amenities. However, such traditional events like the “Furry Dance” happen annually, with the majority of the village and their friends join in for a big celebration, dating back to when the local fisherman would trade their catch for furs in Nova Scotia.
